From what I can tell, the BothCats version works properly on both Tiger and Leopard Macs. Please let me know if you encounter any problems.
For those who are curious, all it required was adding the compiler flag -mmacosx-version-min=10.4 to gcc.
Rob SchareinUpdate to the following: there might be a solution, but I haven't tested it on a Tiger Intel yet. If you have one of these machines, try installing the "BothCats" version and let me know what happens.
Rob SchareinThis version of KnotPlot was compiled in MacOSX 10.5 (Leopard) and doesn't seem to work in 10.4 (Tiger) or earlier versions of MacOSX. Apparently there are compiler flags which will allow it to do so. Since I don't have a Mac myself, I'm not sure exactly what these should be. If anyone knows, please let me know.
In the meantime, the PowerPC version of KnotPlot should run perfectly fine on a 10.4 machine, but somewhat slower than an Intel-compiled version would. If you have a 10.4 Intel Mac, please install the PowerPC version and upgrade later when this issue is resolved. I apologize for the inconvenience.
